Attach Strut to Reflector
Attach the strut mounting bracket to the reflector with two U-bolts as shown in Figure 2. Tighten the U-bolts. Looosely bolt the U-bracket to the strut mounting bracket using a lock washer and nut. Loosely bolt the strut to the U-bracket.

Attach Strut to Tower
Slide the strut clamp assembly onto the free end of the strut. Position the strut as parallel as possible to the antenna axis for maximum support at high wind loads. The deviation angle from this parallel position should not be more than 25° in the vertical or horizontal plane as shown in Figure 3.

For flat tower member surfaces, drill a 18 mm (11/16") hole and attach the clamp assembly tightly with a bolt, flat washer, lock washer and nut.
An adaptor clamp (not supplied) can be used to attach the strut clamp assembly to a round tower member having a diameter of from 1 to 3 inches (25 to 75 mm).

Loosen the jam nuts of the clamp assembly. Tighten the setscrews until they touch the strut. Then tighten them 1-1/4 turns more so that the cup points cut into the strut. Tighten the jam nuts.

Tighten the bolts of the U-bracket (see Figure 2).
