Earth Station Antenna
Description

The Andrew 1.2-meter transportable earth station
antenna is optimized for portable analog or digital
data/voice telecommunication network applications. This
antenna incorporates an integrated feed reflector,
ground mount and packing system and is specifically
designed for portable transmit/receive systems operating
in the Ku frequency band. The antenna is engineered
to exceed stringent CCIR requirements and
specification standards. This circular symmetric high
performance antenna is capable of being easily transported
via air, sea and ground to any local or remote
location.

The unique Andrew prime focus design, beam shaping
feed system, together with the precision spun and segmented
aluminum reflector assembly produces excellent
electrical performance characteristics. The corrosion
resistant aluminum mount assembly forms an integral packing
frame which ensures extended product life and
additional protection during transmit. Use of stainless
steel hardware throughout the antenna structure assures
increased durability with minimal antenna maintenance.
The versatile light weight aluminum mount enables
horizon-to-horizon coverage from virtually any worldwide
location and allows for non-critical orientation.

Notice
The installation, maintenance, or removal of antenna
systems requires qualified, experineced personnel.
Andrew installation instructions are written for such
personnel. Andrew systems should be inspected once
a year by qualified personnel to verify proper
installation, maintenance, and condition of equipment.

Andrew disclaims any liability or responsibility for the
results of improper or unsafe installation practices.

Installation
Note: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the
structure during the installation. Clear the area of stories
and debris before commencing.

  1. Position the packaged antenna so that the arrow on
the top cover plate points in the appropriate direction of
    the antenna beam.
  2. Refer to Figures 1 and 2. Unfasten the two hold
down straps securing the collapsible sides. Carefully
remove the top cover plate. The feed assembly is
attached to the underside of the cover plate in a canvas
bag. Gently place the cover plate and the feed assembly
    on the ground.
