1.0 Introduction 1.1 Type 200321-412 Feed Retrofit Kit enables field conversion of an existing Cassegrain feed to a prime focus C-/Ku-band receive-only feed system. The kit includes a 4RLPCK-45-R2 dual-polarized-band feed assembly, a 49797A feed support, a 300376 feed hardware kit, a 49936-2 vertex plate, a 200324 template and 49798 feed struts. systems requires qualified, experienced personnel. Andrew installation instructions have been written for such installation personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance and condition of equipment. Thoroughly Before Assembly 2.0 Existing Feed System Removal 2.1 Disassemble and remove all components of existing subreflector assembly. NOTE: Components include subreflector assembly, subreflector pipes and subreflector brackets. 2.2 Disassemble and remove all components of existing Cassegrain feed system. NOTE: Components include feed assembly, center plate, seating ring, hub locking clamps and combiner. 3.0 Feed System Assembly 3.1 Refer to Figure 1. Loosely install 49936-2 vertex plate over reflector vertex opening using 3/8 x 1 in (25 mm) bolts, lockwashers and nuts. Securely tighten mounting hardware. 3.2 Refer to Figure 2. Loosely install two 1/4-20 x 3/4 in (19 mm) bolts in 49797A feed support assembly. Loosely attach 49798 feed struts to 49797A feed support by sliding feed support rods in ends of struts and installing 3/8 x 1-3/4 in (44 mm) bolts, lockwashers and nuts. |
