1. What are the considerations for buying a radome? (Standard antenna)
As with most applications there are, of course, electrical and mechanical trade offs. As the primary function of the radome is to provide low wind loading, the radome will also add more weight to the tower, and increase the VSWR, and provide additional losses (dependant on freq.). The electrical values are provided in Cat. 38 on page 118, weight values are provided at the end of the hard copy price list.

  2. How do I align my angle div. Antenna?
(Any questions on angle diversity). Send bulletin nos. SP20-45, 237099, 237120, 237122, 237127.

  3. I need the set of instruction bulletins for an (antenna) in a "language other than English".
    IQ Master

  4. General High Wind information
See new bulletin 3522 (or separate installation instructions).

  5. Flange mating information
    See pages 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 202, 204, 205, and 625

  6. Radiation Hazard Limit information
Contact electrical engineering via email with customer name and contact information. We cannot give real time answers.

  7. Need absorber kit for shielded antennas
No general information is provided to the sales force. Contact product line to be provided with a part number and price. (At least until a parts catalog is developed.)

  8. Needs special color antenna / radome
I-Q Master will be able to provide this information upon release.

  9. Needs information on "painting" antennas, radomes, etc.
There is a hard copy document, 3 pages, that is available regarding painting of antennas, mounts, radomes that can be sent to customers. This should be available through the WEBCORE site, after a Marcom project to approve its appearance.

  10. I need a set of guy wires for an (antenna), what is the part number.
(Sometimes they have the part number and need a price)
Suggest selling part number 221472-1 field adjustable guy wire kit. Fits antennas sizes up to 15 ft. and designed with a "hook or crimp" end. All are spring type.

  11. What is the net weight of an antenna?
Antenna weights are located in the rear section of the current price list.

  12. Pre-assembly of antennas?
Pre-assemble of antennas prior to shipment are NOT available. Contact ASI field service for antenna assembly on site.

  13. I need a set of installation instruction sheets for (antenna)? In Spanish, Russian, etc.?
Installation instruction sheets are going through changes to allow them to be more user friendly on a global basis. Line art has replaced much text, and photos have been eliminated, as they do not copy well. These allow installers all over the world to assemble antennas (and other product components) regardless of language. Currently the best method of obtaining installation instructions is to first obtain the (exact) antenna part number. This is dome by exploding the B.O.M. in SAP. The bulletins are part of each component hardware kit. Once the bulletin numbers are known, hard copies can be obtained through the fax on line system.
