The NetShuttle™ is a "ruggedized", rack-mounted system providing seamless mainframe connectivity to corporate Intranets. Designed for the most demanding data center environments, it provides users with a wide range of connectivity options from simple TCP/IP access to TN3270E Server functionality to advanced SNA services.

The NetShuttle is designed for flexibility and growth. It supports up to two ESCON channel connections, up to four network connections and is field upgradeable. As a result the NetShuttle can evolve along with your installation requirements.

The NetShuttle for Microsoft Host Integration Server runs Microsoft's Windows 2000 Server and includes Microsoft's Host Integration Server 2000 to provide support for 3270, TN3270, and LU6.2 traffic. Bus-Tech's TCP/IP Direct Connect technology is included to allow NetShuttle to concurrently operate as a "channel-attached" IP router. Multi-Path Channel Plus (MPC+) software can be added to provide the highest possible throughput for demanding IP applications.

The NetShuttle is designed for high-reliability. It supports IBM's Virtual IP Addressing (VIPA) providing redundant hardware support. Optional Multipath Channel Plus (MPC+) software can be added to the NetShuttle to provide the ultimate in performance and allow two ESCON channels to work together as one logical connection and provide automatic fail over in the unlikely event one ESCON fails.

The NetShuttle is designed for compatibility. The ESCON adapters in the NetShuttle are based upon IBM's ESCON Enabler Technologies chipset and Licensed Internal Code, the same technology employed in IBM's S/390® servers. For customers this provides complete ESCON protocol control and ESCON Multiple Image Facility (EMIF) capability thereby providing compatibility with the ESCON architectural specifications and IBM's System/390 ESCON channels.
