Supported ISDN Controllers

Linux ISDN controller drivers

Linux provides access to ISDN controller hardware through different driver models.

First of all Linux supports most of the cards available on the market through isdn4linux drivers, all cards based on the HiSax chip as well as some others are supported by the standard kernel drivers. Additionally you might find a CAPI 2.0 driver for your card. Most active cards have CAPI drivers either included in the standard kernel or supplied by the cards manufacturer.

Another driver architecture for Linux is being worked on, mISDN. mISDN aims at providing CAPI support for all cards.

isdngw supported cards/drivers

Generally, isdngw supports all cards, that either have isdn4linux drivers with voice capability (alomost all are voice capable) or that have CAPI 2.0 drivers available. CAPI drivers are preferred, because some features of isdngw will only work with CAPI drivers.

The following table gives an overview of tested cards, if you have information on any card not listed here, please post them to the SEMS mailinglist.
