Type 39130-2
Antenna
for Local Distribution Systems
Bulletin 237080

Description
This parabolic antenna has a diameter of two feet (0.6 m) and is designed for use in 10.5-10.7 GHz local distribution systems. It is equipped with two blinker assemblies, waveguide feed, and a mount for attachment to a 0.75-3 in (20-75 mm) diameter pipe. The azimuth adjustment range is 360° and elevation range from +45° upward to -5° downward. The feed mates with a UG39/U or UG40B/U flange and may be positioned for either horizontal or vertical polarization. The antenna will survive winds of 100 mph (160 km/h) with 1/2 in (13 mm) of radial ice.

Notice
The installation, maintenance or removal of antenna systems requires qualified, experienced personnel. Andrew installation instructions have been written for such personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance, and condition of equipment.

Andrew disclaims any liability or responsibility for the results of improper or unsafe installation practices.

Read the Following Instructions
Thoroughly Before Assembly
1. Attach the hose clamp to the mounting pipe at the required height and tighten it. This clamp supports the pipe clamp during azimuth adjustment. Then assemble the pipe clamp parts above the hose clamp as shown in Figure 1.

2. Attach the mount angle to two of the reflector seating ring bolts with 5/16" lock washers and nuts, and tighten the nuts. Then position this assembly on the pipe clamp bolt and long stud as shown and fasten the mount angle with 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts as shown in Figure 2. Tighten the nuts.

3. Insert the feed through the seating ring from the front side of the reflector as shown in Figure 3. Fasten the feed hub in place with four hub clamps, bolts, and lock washers from the rear side of the reflector. Finger-tighten the bolts.

The feed assembly provides for continuous polarization. Rotate the feed assembly to the position required for the correct polarization and tighten the hub clamp bolts.
