3. Adjust Azimuth

Loosen the hold-down clips and operate the azimuth ratchet turnbuckle to move the antenna in the required direction. After making the final azimuth adjustment, tighten the hold-down clips. Push the clips forward as far as possible over the support ring flange during tightening. Use the tensioning procedure for A-325 hardware and add a Palnut.

Assemble and position the four hold-down clamps 90 degrees apart around the base assembly and support ring as shown in Figure 9. Place each assembly as close as possible to one of the trunnions or elevation struts and tighten it for maximum surface contact.

If the azimuth adjustment is permanent, all azimuth adjustment parts can be removed for reuse on another antenna. This includes the side wheels, hold-down wheels, and azimuth ratchet turnbuckle assembly. Replace each hold-down wheel with a hold-down clip, use the tensioning procedure for A-325 hardware, and add a Palnut.
